Our Story

Elevate Roofing Co was founded by Robbie, a young tradesman driven by a passion for raising the standard of domestic roofing.

Robbie began his roofing career at just 17 years old as a labourer working for one of West Lothian’s largest domestic roofing companies. Showing early dedication to the trade, he was awarded an apprenticeship in bitumen felt roofing and committed himself fully to mastering the craft.

During his apprenticeship, Robbie also developed a strong interest in pitched roofing, learning the skills of slating, tiling and leadwork alongside his flat roofing training.

At the end of his first year, Robbie was nominated for BMI UK & Ireland’s Apprentice of the Year. After successfully progressing through the qualifying stages, he reached the final where eight apprentices from across Britain competed over two days in a series of roofing challenges. Robbie went on to win the competition and was crowned UK & Ireland’s Apprentice of the Year.

This achievement ignited an even deeper passion for the industry. During the second year of his apprenticeship, Robbie appeared on multiple construction podcasts and spoke at events across the country, sharing his experience and encouraging others entering the trade.

After completing his flat roofing qualification, Robbie turned his focus to pitched roofing. Using the skills he had developed during his apprenticeship, he entered the SkillBuild competition in the slating and tiling category, where he was awarded Highly Commended Roofer.

With a strong foundation in both flat and pitched roofing, Robbie decided to start his own company and Elevate Roofing Co was born.

Our mission is simple: to make the same attention to detail, workmanship, and pride that earned Robbie national recognition the standard in domestic roofing.
